Welcome to the consultation centre for Amey Keolis Infrastructure / Seilwaith Amey Keolis Limited (AKIL).
This site hosts consultations run by AKIL in respect of the role it will undertake as infrastructure manager for the railway network running from Cardiff to Treherbert, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, Coryton and Rhymney (known as the Core Valleys Lines).
The Core Valley Lines network is currently owned by Network Rail and will be transferred from Network Rail to Transport for Wales. Transport for Wales will then lease assets to AKIL who will become infrastructure manager for the Core Valley Lines network. The transfer is conditional on the Welsh Ministers’ approval and certain conditions being met in the transfer arrangements between Network Rail and Transport for Wales. The transfer can take place as early as 31 January 2020.
The documents being shared for consultation are in preparation for such transfer.
