The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama is the National Conservatoire of Wales, providing specialist practical and performance-based training that enables students to enter and influence the music, theatre and related professions.
The College is set in a beautiful park location within a short walk from the centre of Wales' capital city of Cardiff regularly hosting music and drama performances in the three theatres: the Richard Burton Theatre, the Bute Theatre, and the Caird Studio and during holiday periods it provides a superb world-class conference and meeting venue.
Meeting & Conference Venue
The college has a suite of venues includes the magnificent Dora Stoutzker Concert Hall (200 - 350 seats), the intimate Richard Burton Theatre (182 seats), a large and flexible exhibition gallery accommodating up to 50 trade stands and a stunning three-storey high glass atrium and open-air terrace overlooking the Grade 1 listed Bute Park set in the grounds of Cardiff Castle.
Conference venues include up to 10 break-out rooms with audio-visual facilities including eight state-of-the-art large studios. Two further rooms are housed within our historic Anthony Hopkins Centre (the original Cardiff Castle stables building) which also has a stunning open-air courtyard. A very impressive tree-lined avenue provides the entrance for delegates and guests to the Anthony Hopkins Centre with Cardiff Castle in view.
