Effective from Monday 23 March 2020 typical Sunday service times will be applied seven days a week throughout the Transport for Wales rail network.

Update to services effective as of Monday 30 March 2020

  • Further reductions on the Cambrian line to roughly 1 service every 2 hours.
  • Reduction on the Heart of Wales line to one service per day in each direction.
  • A reduced Cardiff Bay shuttle from 5 services per hour to 2 services per hour.
  • Full removal of Chester to Liverpool services as the route is served by Mersey Rail.
  • Reduced services between Crewe and Chester.
  • Introduction of a 07:47 Carmarthen to Milford Haven bus service in West Wales which will call additionally at Withybush Hospital.
    Providing a  journey opportunity for NHS Key Workers.

Service changes are in place to support identified ‘key workers’ travel.  
All other travel by the public must be on an essential needs basis only.
