Transport for Wales is blessed to serve many fantastic locations across Wales and the Borders, with our network linking beautiful countryside and award-winning beaches to the major cities of Cardiff, Swansea, Birmingham and Manchester.
And for us it is the people of those towns, cities and communities who matter most. We are excited to be working with stakeholders and communities across all of those regions we serve as together we strive to build the best railway in Britain. Building on fantastic foundations, we want to shape a better railway for all our customers and communities.
With our Community Rail Partnerships and station adoption scheme we are committed to showcasing the best our Wales and Borders network has to offer through events, promotions and community engagement.
We are currently delighted to work with the following Community Rail Partnerships:
- Conwy Valley Community Rail Partnership
- Cambrian Rail Partnership
- Borderlands Community Rail Partnership
- Chester to Shrewsbury Partnership
- Heart of Wales Development Company
- South West Wales Connected
During the next 15 years we will be establishing new partnerships to ensure our entire network is part of a Community Rail Partnership.
We will also continue to work closely with rail user groups and passenger associations as well as charities, accessibility groups and our own passenger and accessibility panel to ensure we deliver a railway that works for everyone.
Station Adoption has gone from strength to strength in Wales and the Borders. We have a diverse range of adopters from all walks of life who want to make their community station better. And best of all there are still some stations still needing adopters.
