Aberystwyth Comedy Festival

Aberystwyth Comedy Festival

The Aberystwyth Comedy Festival is made up of around 40 individual shows which take place in venues near Aberystwyth's seafront. The full line up will be announced nearer the time, but last year's shows included Rhod Gilbert, Tudor Owen, Suzi Ruffell and Anna Mann.

Neath Food and Drink Festival

Neath Food & Drink Festival

A celebration of local produce and Neath’s historic market town atmosphere. Lots going on for all the family including cookery demonstrations, children’s activities and live music.

Cardiff Half Marathon

Cardiff Half Marathon

Competitors race right through Cardiff city centre past some iconic locations, with beautiful scenery and historic buildings, starting at Cardiff Castle, and passing the Principality Stadium, Penarth Marina, before crossing the Cardiff Barrage and racing through Cardiff Bay before finishing close to Cardiff City Hall.

Newport Food Festival

Newport Food Festival

The festival will showcase local produce and businesses with its free chef demonstrations and over 70 exhibitor stalls. There will be street theatre, live music and activities throughout the day for all the family.

Sŵn Festival

This guerrilla music festival takes over just about every available venue in Cardiff, to showcase raw music talent in intimate spaces. It's loosely based on SXSW in Texas, and designed to unearth the next generation of performers.

Dippy on Tour

Dippy Banner

Never before on public display outside of the Natural History Museum, Dippy has delighted visitors since he arrived in London in 1905. The full skeleton in its displayed pose is an impressive 21.3 metres long, 4.3 metres wide and 4.17 metres high.

All aboard The Real Ale Train on the Llangollen Railway! Enjoy a selection of real ales on a heritage steam train while taking in the scenic surroundings of this part of North Wales.

Cardiff International Film Festival

Cardiff International Film Festival

Held in the historic Pierhead building in Cardiff Bay, the Cardiff International Film Festival attracts entries from all over the world. The festival is open to the public, although some venues may charge an entrance fee.

Conwy Feast

The medieval town of Conwy is transformed with a weekend festival that boasts the largest celebration of music, art and food of Wales. The quayside, castle and medieval streets burst with flavours, sound and sights.

    You're hired! Two Welsh railway workers in the running for Apprentice of the Year
    Fleet Engineering Apprentice Demi Woodham and Train Planning Apprentice Katie Ratcliffe were both nominated for the awards which celebrate the nation’s outstanding achievements throughout the industry’s sectors. The Wales Transport Awards takes place in Cardiff on 1 November.

    Hi there I’m Siani the caterpillar and I’m working hard to transform your Cardiff Central station. I’ll be popping up around the station wherever and whenever work is taking place to keep you up to date with what’s happening.
