Engineering work is taking place between between Deansgate and Salford Crescent / Eccles, closing all lines.
Northern
The following trains will be amended:
- Trains will run between Barrow-in-Furness / Windermere and Preston. Alternative services are available between Preston and Manchester
- Trains running between Blackpool North and Manchester Airport will be amended to start / terminate at Manchester Victoria
- Trains running between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Airport will start / terminate at Earlestown
- An hourly train service will run between Manchester Oxford Road and Manchester Airport
A replacement bus services will be in operation between Earlestown and Manchester Airport.
It is not yet known how this will affect TransPennine Express.

Train services will be diverted, and will not call at Wolverhampton. Services that usually run between London Euston and Wolverhampton / Shrewsbury will be amended to run between London Euston and Birmingham New Street only.

- Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton via Sandwell & Dudley.
- Wolverhampton and Crewe.
CrossCountry:
Trains will be diverted, and will not call at Wolverhampton. Replacement buses will run between Wolverhampton and Stafford.

Trains between Manchester Airport and Blackpool North will start / terminate at Manchester Victoria.
Trains between Manchester Airport and Barrow-in-Furness / Windermere will run between Preston and Barrow-in-Furness / Windermere. customers should use alternative Northern trains between Manchester Airport and Preston.
Trains will run hourly between Manchester Airport and Manchester Oxford Road.
There will be no services between Manchester Piccadilly and Preston. Trains will be diverted to start and terminate at Manchester Victoria.
There will be no services between Manchester Victoria and Liverpool Lime Street. Trains will operate between Newcastle and Manchester Victoria only.
