  • Overview
    • Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and opened in 1854, London’s Paddington Station is known worldwide for one thing in particular - a small, lost cuddly bear! Thanks to Paddington Bear and his creator Michael Bond, everyone has heard of this station. There is a bronze statue of the famous bear himself on platform 1 which tourists stroke for good luck!



      The terminus of the Great Western main line, Paddington Station has in excess of 38 million passengers using its 13 platforms annually, and four underground stations have connections here - namely Circle, District, Bakerloo, and Hammersmith and City. The station opens onto Praed Street and is surrounded by many of the capital’s attractions, including The Serpentine, Hyde Park, and Kensington Gardens.
