Timetable change from Sunday 16 May 2021 – check before you travel

We’re introducing new timetables across our network from Sunday 16 May 2021

Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation and measures we’ve introduced to support social distancing, we continue to run a reduced service compared to pre-pandemic levels. All available trains are in operation and we’ve prioritised capacity around our busiest services.

From Sunday 16 May 2021 there’ll be some minor re-timings and amendments to our services in particular affecting services in the north of our network.

Significant changes overview

  • Cancellation of the 0336 Chester to Manchester Airport and 0535 Manchester Airport – Chester
  • Retiming of evening services on the Wrexham – Bidston line with earlier departure times
  • 1234 Wrexham General – Bidston and 1335 Bidston – Wrexham General services will be replaced by rail replacement bus service on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. To allow for driver training ahead of the introduction of better trains later this year.
  • Service reduction between Llandudno Junction and Llandudno.
  • Cancellation of 1134 Holyhead to Shrewsbury until 28 June

Please check your journey plans before you travel especially any connections as timetables are changing across the whole of the UK national rail network.

If you intend travelling, please be a responsible traveller, follow our coronavirus Travel Safer advice and plan ahead.
