Cathays Park, towards the centre of Cardiff, is a beautifully peaceful area of parkland, full of glorious tree-lined avenues, and well-tended lawns with beds offering wonderful floral displays. Within the park are Cardiff University, City Hall and The National Museum. The latter houses impressive collections of natural history, world-class art galleries, and the highly acclaimed ‘Evolution of Wales’. 

If sport is your thing, why not catch the rugby at the Principality Stadium in the heart of Cardiff? The much supported national game always attracts a great crowd, with a family-friendly atmosphere, everyone is welcome!

Cardiff has plenty for the retail fan, and as well as the big-name high street stores, there are lots of quaint boutique stores showcasing local crafts, and featuring one-off pieces. Spread over two floors with a stunning vaulted glass roof, Central Market is a must-visit. Trading since the 1700s, you can find anything and everything in this lively market - artisan bread, handmade jewellery and studio glassware, and stalls full of designer outfits and tooled leather.
